Load-Responsive Hydraulics
Standard hydraulic flow - the best in its class at 59 g/min (223 L/min) on all Special Application models – yields quick response and plenty of reserve power to meet the highest implement hydraulic demands. Although four spool valves are standard, up to six valves are available as an option - with five controls in line.

However, the real “icing on the cake” is Challenger’s unique Load Independent Flow Division (LIFD) system. Instead of diverting hydraulic flow from one job to another when demands exceed pump capacity, which is often the case when towing two scrapers with differing hydraulic demands; LIFD divides flow to all demands proportionally, but continues to operate all functions.

Additionally, the hydraulic system can be fitted with optional high flow implement valves which increases the available hydraulic oil flow through 3/4” (19mm) couplers from standard 30 g/min (114 L/m) to 39 g/min (148 L/m).

The higher capacity improves response, especially when working in high-flow requirement applications, such as a towed scraper operation.
