Falcon VT Terminal
The new Falcon VT terminal controls the NMS system mounted on a Challenger Terra-Gator. All information and commands, from application rates to data logging, are shown on one 25 cm touch-screen controller. Falcon VT works in conjunction with the Terra-Gator’s newly designed joystick and is connected to the vehicle’s systems via a CAN-BUS network. The console has an SD data card slot for transferring data such as application maps etc to and from the farm office computer.

The screen shows the operator a complete view of the job, including the target rate of application and the actual rate being achieved. Falcon VT is used to monitor the Terra-Gator’s GPS, the machine’s tyre pressure control system and the Dogwalk option. All machine functions such as hitch up and down, gear selection, loading arm and implement hydraulics are operated via the new joystick at the push of a button. The joystick can also record a series of sequential functions so that the operator can push one button to set that sequence in motion. |
