New Terra Gator track dumpers

Ag-Chem Europe recently delivered 4 new Terra-Gator Track Dumpers to Velzing Groundwork BV in Klazinaveen.

In Europe there are increasing numbers of areas where wheeled vehicles are unable to drive efficiently. On marshy or soft soil groundwork with dumpers can be problematic. To deal with this kind of situation, Ag-Chem Europe developed the Terra-Gator Track Dumpers, which were launched on the market three years ago.
The spacious capacity of the Terra-Gator Track Dumpers enables them to perform groundwork under tough field conditions in areas normally inaccessible to tractors.
The new Track Dumpers have a capacity of maximum 12m3 and can carry loads of up to 15 tons. The dump body has been especially designed with sloping sides so the load is discharged optimally. The dump body can unload at an angle of 65 degrees and uses a hydraulically operated unloading gate. Dumping the contents takes just 16 seconds.

The Terra-Gators Track Dumpers have a 325 Hp – 8.1 litre engine and Terra-Shift Full
Powershift transmission. The Terra-Shift has 11 forward speeds and 3 speeds gears, with a maximum speed of 25 km/hour. This is unique for caterpillar vehicles. Even on marshy ground, the required capacity can be reached.

The Terra-Gator Track Dumper has a new type of joystick. This is also integrated in the
Challenger caterpillar tractors. The Terra-gator Track Dumpers have also been fitted with the Ag-Chem panoramic view cab where the large glass surface permits optimal vision from the cab.
The new Terra-Gators Track Dumpers also have a movable hinging point. This means the dump body can tip to an angle of 90° degrees or more, while the front of the machine remains stable on the ground. The new Ag-Chem tracks have also been mounted with larger drive wheels in a more robust version for a longer working life.

As an option, the machines can also be supplied with heating in the dump body to ensure smooth unloading even with heavy, sticky soil, with a central lubrication system and a front lift to which a dozer blade or a road sweeping brush can be fitted.
