Transmission

Standard on the MT900B series tractors is the same reliable Cat® engineered and tested 16F x 4R Powershift Transmission found in the MT700B and MT800B series track tractors.  With a heavy-duty cast iron housing and high-capacity bearings and shafts, it is designed to handle the output of the largest and most powerful agricultural tractor engine on the market.

 		   

Eight gears in the popular 4 to 9.3 mph operating range provide excellent responsiveness for enhanced productivity. Closely spaced gear splits were designed with the engine torque rise and operating rpm in mind to deliver the most usable power over the operating range.  With an industry-leading 24.6 mph roading speed (with 800/70R38 tires), you spend less time on the road and more time getting work done.
