23/01/2013 AGCO’s Moscow Region Training Center is the largest
The opening of a new training center in the Odintsovo district of the Moscow region marks a significant step for the Russian office of AGCO, the global manufacturer of agricultural equipment. The new 8,000m² premises offers space to not only display 30 different machines, but also provide practical operation and service training, for company's employees and dealers from Russia, Ukraine, and the CIS countries.
AGCO’s business development strategy in Russia is currently focusing on five key areas - developing the dealer network, supplying a full line of modern equipment, providing retail financing and setting up local production. At the same time it also has a strong commitment to training both its own employees as well as dealer staff.
“AGCO produces a wide range of modern agricultural machinery. High-quality education and training for our specialists is, therefore, a crucial factor both for sales and after-sales service of the equipment. Opening the training center in Russia is an event we have been looking forward to, because the Russian agricultural market, along with those in other countries in Eastern Europe, is one of the most promising," said Aleksander Belov, Director, Marketing, Central and Eastern Europe.
Training is a big priority for AGCO, which places a high value on human resources and puts considerable investment behind developing its professional staff. It offers a wide range of opportunities for staff to further extend their operation and servicing skills with the latest farming technology. Training is provided by in-house highly qualified professionals and is held at its factories around the world, in dedicated training centers as well as at field days and demonstration events.
Now, with the opening of its own training center in the Moscow region, this training is more easily accessible and convenient for the company’s employees and dealers in Eastern Europe. The company also offers interactive training programs and other forms of assistance, which are specifically geared toward equipment produced for a particular region.
The new training center, located in the village of Chastsy, in the Odintsovo district of the Moscow region, is currently the company's largest training site in Eastern Europe and can accommodate up to 50 students each day.
The state of the art facility includes classrooms and service training areas, as well as a 7,000m² showroom that provides a superb area in which the main machines from the AGCO ranges sold in Russia are on permanent display – including Challenger, Fendt and Valtra equipment.
Following their high-level training, the professionals receive their qualification certificates and all the materials they need pass on their knowledge to staff and customers in their regions. AGCO currently has more than 20 dealers in its network, operating in Russia, Ukraine, and other CIS countries.
"An appropriate level of training is required to effectively operate modern high-powered agricultural equipment. This applies not only to those running the equipment out in the fields, but even more so to the professionals working in the service centers," explains Simon Irvin, Manager, Technical Service, EAME & EEA. "We are confident that our training system will further enhance the level of support we can offer to our clients throughout Russia, Ukraine, and the CIS countries."
