Engine
Fitted with a Caterpillar® 3126B 6-cylinder engine, you are guaranteed excellent performance, regardless of operating conditions.
Caterpillar’s industry-leading ADEM III controller together with their HEUI (Hydraulically Pressurised, Electronically-controlled Unit Injector) fuel injection system accurately controls fuel delivery to ensure optimum power output and fuel economy.
Daily maintenance can be easily conducted from the driver’s platform, with easy access to the engine via a sliding cover and access ladder.
Driveline
The engine drives two hydrostatic pumps which are cross-connected to all four wheels, ensuring torque at all times and an optional differential lock makes the driveline even more capable in the roughest conditions.
Hydraulic suspension with automatic level control combines with block suspension at the rear to give the Ro-Gator 618 superb driving stability.
The standard track width for the Ro-Gator is fixed at 1.80m, but optional hydraulic adjustable axles allow track widths to reach 2.25m.
Operator Environment
The spacious pressurised cab is accessed via a wide door by an electro-hydraulic operated ladder which retracts when the parking brake is released.
Engaging the parking brake makes the ladder lower into place. Air conditioning and cruise-control are standard and the air inside the cabin is filtered through an active carbon filter, preventing the operator from breathing polluted air.
Driving and system controls are ergonomically mounted on the right-hand control panel, with the most important controls on the drive lever for maximum control.
Modern displays provide the operator with information about the engine and ground speed, while speed is measured by radar.
The Air-Ride seat provides the driver with a quiet and comfortable workstation, ideal for long working periods even in the toughest terrain.
