Engine & Transmission
The Terra-Gator 8333 offers maximum traction and excellent acceleration without damaging the grass or soil.
TechStar CVT transmission can transmit full engine power at speeds up to 40km/h. Easy-to-use controls allow the operator to adapt the machine precisely to differing conditions or individual preferences.
An efficient 8.4-litre, six-cylinder diesel engine generates 360 (max) hp at 2000rpm, which is the perfect match for the TechStar transmission. The massive torque of 1492 Nm at 1500 RPM provides maximum power at low engine rpm, while optimising fuel economy. Working with TechStar CVT, the Power Management function automatically adjusts the engine rpm to the optimum speed, significantly reducing fuel consumption as well as reducing operator strain.
With pneumatic suspension as standard, the new cab has been lowered by 17cm.
The sloping bonnet design provides excellent visibility and comfort is greatly enhanced by the reduction in lateral movement. The system controls are the same as in the TG2244 and 3244 models, featuring automated functions and intuitive operation integrated into the joystick, similar to the latest, top-of-the-range Challenger C Series tracked tractors.
The Falcon VT 25cm wide touch-screen terminal can display all NMS information and settings.
The system provides variable rate control of liquid and solid manures by adjusting the flow of to automatically match the application rates, maximising dosage accuracy. The main application window is built up with digital- analog meters and icons, for fast and easy intuitive operation. A standard ISO Task Controller ensures that all the application data is recorded for future use, while an SD memory card enables data to be transferred to the farm office computer.
This brand new management tool can provide real-time monitoring of your machine remotely – anywhere in the world – using GPS positioning and a mobile phone network.
At its basic level, it will show the machine’s current location and working speed, logging the data throughout the day. An upgrade will monitor key machine parameters, such as engine load and fuel consumption. The high-end level shows the Terra-Gator's dashboard and alarm settings can be programmed when a setting is altered or exceeded. Even geo-fences can be programmed, so accidently working on the wrong field is no longer possible.
The Terra-Gator 8333 is the only three-wheeled application vehicle on which the same sized tyres can be used on all three wheels.
An individual wheel motor powers the front wheel, adjusting the degree of traction required to match the mechanically-driven rear axle. The operator can easily vary the amount of traction needed via the multi-functional joystick. A tyre pressure control system minimises soil pressure, further enhancing performance and traction by adapting to changing surfaces and gradients.
With six mounting points for more even distribution of weight, the new durable 16 cubic-metre tank is designed for a low center point of gravity and overall light weight. The optional SuperLoad/CombiLoad system cuts filling time by around two minutes, further boosting work-rates.
Three Point Linkage
A rugged Cat III three-point linkage can be fitted, with Cat 3 or 4 ball-ends or Walterscheid quick couplers.
Designed for use with mounted injectors, the linkage has power-down, lift and float settings, with an integral suspension for when working with heavy implements. For speedy changing of injectors, a quick-coupler frame is available, together with a multi-coupler for the hydraulic connections.
