The Terra-Gator 8203 has an 8.8 litre turbo-charged Caterpillar® diesel engine with cruise control which delivers 325 hp, with a peak of up to 357 hp.

Terra-Shift transmission with Select-Shift offers 9 forward and 3 reverse speeds, as well as shift on-the-go under full power and automatic shifting between pre-selected speed ranges.

The Terra-Gator 8203 is fitted with a panoramic, fully air-suspended cab for excellent operator comfort.

The cabs have been specially designed to create the safest possible working environment.
They are air conditioned, pressurised and fitted with a three-level filtering system to seal out dust, chemicals and other contaminants.

Falcon VT Terminal

Falcon VT Terminal

All information and commands, from application rates to data logging, are shown on one 25cm touch-screen controller.

The Falcon VT terminal controls are system mounted on the chassis. The console has an SD data card slot for transferring data, application maps and more, to and from the farm office computer. The screen shows the operator a complete view of the job, including the target rate of application and the actual rate being achieved.

Applicator Systems

  • AirMax pneumatic fertiliser spreaders use independently operated booms, which have a working width of 21 m.
  • The Falcon VT system controls the dosing procedure giving the operator more accuracy.
  • New Leader disc spreaders contain 6.1 to 7.5 cubic-metres. They feature an independent hydraulic system, hydraulic drive spreading discs, speed independent dosage, manual adjustment of the dosage opening using a spindle and 45° or 60° side-slopes.
  • This liquid fertiliser spreader is ideal for applying liquid mineral fertiliser, solutions, suspensions and liquid organic fertiliser. As this spreader is made of V2A steel, it is resistant to aggressive liquid fertiliser products. It has an immense capacity and is available in working widths of 18, 21 or 24 m.

Options

  • The Parallel Navigation System tells the driver how to make use of the optimum working width - it works with a GPS receiver on the cab which transfers GPS data to the light beam display.
  • Fitted within the driver's range of sight, this system makes it possible to continue in the dark or foggy - a must when it comes to improving your output and performance.
  • The fully automatic Auto-Guide™ steering system steers the Terra-Gator precisely along virtual track lines in the field. Independent of traditional track indication systems, Auto-Guide™ enables equipment of various working widths to be operated so that their ranges connect up with each other exactly. This means that connecting work cycles can even be carried out in poor visibility conditions and makes overlaps or non-treated sections a thing of the past. High savings on fuel and fertiliser can thus be achieved, resulting in increased profitability and productivity.
  • A foam marker system allows the spreading tracks for both liquid and solid fertiliser spreaders to be connected up exactly.
